Food Truck Program

As temperatures warm up the City of Brandon is expanding support to local food truck operators by allowing food trucks on select City properties such as splash parks, skate parks, and green spaces. This program has no fee payable to the City. All that is needed to apply is your proof of insurance and business license.

Application Process

1. Fill out an  application form (495 KB)
2. Provide proof of insurance and copy of business license
3. The applicant and/or food truck owner sign the declaration
4. Submit to City of Brandon Licensing via email or in person at 410 9th Street

Is there really no fee to apply?

Yes. There is no fee payable to the City of Brandon for food trucks to operate on select City properties.

What are the insurance requirements?

$2,000,000 all-inclusive. Additional insurance related information can be found in Section 1 of the Food Truck Application Form.

What has been expanded?

Once approved to operate by the City, a food truck may go to any of the approved sites at any time. Under the old program spots were assigned. Under the new program, there will be no reserved spots for any food truck at any time. First come first served.
