Stolen Vehicle Recovered- Suspect Arrested

On September 29, 2020, police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 700 block of Percy Street in the early morning hours. At 9:39 am, police received information from Onstar that the vehicle was located via GPS trace near the 2000 block of Queens Ave. Further investigation led police to discover the suspect nearby. The 21-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. He appeared in court later that day on several charges including Theft of Motor Vehicle, Possess Weapon, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, and Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Arrest Warrants

Six individuals were arrested separately on outstanding arrest warrants.

A 26-year-old male will appear in court today on charges of Possess Credit Card, Fraud Use of Credit Card and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

A 23-year-old male will appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

A 48-year-old male will appear in court on December 21, 2020 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

A 33-year-old female will appear in court on November 26, 2020 on charges of Utter Forged Document and Possess Stolen Property.

A 37-year-old male will appear in court on October 29, 2020 on charges of Fail to Attend Court and Theft Under $5000.

A 20-year-old male will appear in court on November 23, 2020 on a charge of Fail to Attend.

 

Break and Enter to Garage

On September 29, 2020, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a garage on Juniper Bay. Suspects are believed to have entered the garage on the previous day between 6:00 pm, and midnight when the overhead door was accidentally left open. Stolen were two Dewalt cordless drills. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter and Theft is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Break and Enter

On September 29, 2020, police received a report of a Break and Enter to a residential storage building in the 1900 block of Rosser Avenue. A door to the building was forced open after 5:00 pm the previous day. Stolen were 2 winter coats and a leather satchel containing personal documents. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Break and Enter – Arrest

On September 29, 2020, police responded to a report of a resident returning home to discover a male inside their garage at approximately 7:30 pm. The male fled, but was arrested nearby. The 39-year-old male suspect was also found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for Possess Property Obtained By Crime. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on December 21, 2020.

 

Breach of Peace

On September 29, 2020, after 9:30 pm, police responded to several reports of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at an apartment building by yelling and swearing at the tenants. The female was given the opportunity to leave the building, but she returned and continued to cause problems. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent the situation from escalating.

 

IPDA

On September 29, 2020, police responded to a report of an intoxicated individual in the 400 block of 9th street, who was passed out on a bench. The 31-year-old male had nowhere to go, and was in no condition to care for himself. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fraud Use of Credit Card

On September 22, 2020, police received a report of the theft of a credit card from a parked vehicle in the 000 block of 14th street N. The card was later used at several businesses. Investigation led police to learn the identity of the two suspects who used the card. On the evening of September 29, 2020 police located and arrested both individuals as they were seen walking together. A 24-year-old male and a 35-year-old male will each appear in court on December 21, 2020 on charges of Fraud Use of Credit Card.
