Break and Enters
A garage at a residence on Madison Crescent was entered overnight on Friday. An unlocked vehicle inside the garage was rummaged through and several small tools were stolen
A residence in the 0 hundred block of 23rd St N was entered on Saturday afternoon. Suspects broke a window in the back door and gained entrance to the home. Nothing was stolen.
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine/Gabapentin
On Saturday afternoon, an officer on patrol noticed a male driving a vehice who did not have a drivers licence. The vehicle was stopped in in the 500 block of Russell St. While speaking with the driver, the officer observed a large machete in the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and the vehicle was searched. A bag of Gabapentin pills and a large amount of cash was found on the floor on the passenger side. The driver is on a court order to have no weapons nor drugs in his possession. Both occupants were transported to BPS. The second occupant was searched prior to being lodged and had 14 grams of methamphetamine in his sock and a package of 40 grams of methamphetamine taped to his leg in his crotch. The driver, a 36 year old Brandon resident, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Gabapentin, Proceeds of Crime, Possession of a Weapon and Breach of a Release Order. The passenger, a 23 year old Brandon resident, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Gabapentin, Proceeds of Crime, and Possession of a Weapon. Both will appear in court on Sunday morning.
Possession of a Weapon
Around 3 am on Sunday morning, officers responded to a complaint of 2 males possibly pulling a knife on another male. A male was found in the area who had a knife hidden on his person. A 28 year old man from Waywayseecappo was arrested and released for court in November.
