 Garage Break In

On Monday afternoon a resident in the west end of Brandon reported that their single detached garage had been broken into sometime overnight Sunday. Stolen were various power tools. This matter remains under investigation.

Weapon Possession

At 1:40 a.m. today, a male was checked in the 1000 block of McTavish Avenue. He was in possession of a canister of bear spray. A male in his 30’s from Brandon will appear in Brandon Provincial Court in December, and faces one charge of possession of a weapon.

Other Arrests

At 5 a.m. today, a male in his 30’s from Brandon was taken into custody after a resident in the area reported someone going through vehicles. This male wasn’t involved in the original call, but was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was lodged in cells for release later in the day when sober.  

At 5 a.m. today, a cab driver in the downtown area flagged down police. The customer in the cab was intoxicated and uncooperative and refusing to pay his fare. The unpaid cab fare was resolved, and the male in his 30’s from Brandon was lodged in cells for release later in the day when sober.

Three people was arrested and released for later court dates on outstanding BPS warrants of arrest.
