A 46-year old resident of Brandon has been charged with Impaired Driving, Assault Police Officer and Refusing a Breath Demand.  The female was involved in a motor vehicle collision in the 1000block of Princess Avenue.  While at the hospital awaiting medical treatment she made the decision to spit on the arresting officer.  She has been released from custody to appear in court September 28th.

 

A 32-year old Resident of Brandon has again been charged with Theft Under $5000.  He attended to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue and stole $200 worth of items.  This is the third time this male has been charged in 4 days.  He has been released on an Undertaking to attend court October 23rd.

 

17 and 18 year old residents of Brandon have been charged for Possession of Body Armour and Fail to Comply with a Release Order.  The males who are on conditions that prohibit them from communicating with each other were found in possession of body armour while police were responding to a weapons call.  They have been held in custody to appear in court today.

A 24 year old resident of Brandon Has been charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Weapon, Assault Police with a Weapon, Resist Arrest as well as two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order.  The Accused was in the 300 block of 9th Street armed with a large knife and brass knuckles.  He refused to drop the weapons and made aggressive movements toward police forcing officers to deploy a conducted energy weapon (Taser) on the male.  After two deployments the male was disarmed and taken into custody.  He has been held in custody to appear in court.

 

A 31-year old resident of Winnipeg was arrested on the strength of a Warrant for the charges of Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Possession of Meth and Fail to attend Court.  She will appear in court in the AM.
