Break and Enter to Residence

On March 3, 2020, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a vacant residence in the 300 block of 22 street shortly before 4:00 am. A witness reports seeing two individuals inside, possibly a male and a female. When police checked the residence, the suspects had left. They appeared to gain entry by forcing a locked door. Nothing appeared to be missing. Anyone with information regarding this Break and Enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Theft Under $5000

On February 22, 2020, police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 1000 block of 10th street. The suspect left the business as employees were contacting police. Images from the businesses security cameras assisted in identifying the suspect, who was located on March 2, 2020 and arrested. The 22-year-old male will appear in court on April 2, 2020 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Arrest Warrant

On March 2, 2020 at approximately 4:00 pm, while patrolling the 1200 block of Rosser Ave, police observed a male pedestrian known to be wanted on outstanding arrest warrants. The 33-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Probation, and Assault.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 2, 2020, shortly after 3:00 pm, police responded to a request to remove an individual from a residence who was highly intoxicated, and the people who care for him were unable to keep him safe, or to prevent his actions from escalating. The 36-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.

 

Theft Under $5000

On March 2, 2020, police received a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. Employees witnessed the theft as the suspect could be seen on security cameras concealing merchandise, and leaving the business without paying. The 32-year-old male was later located and arrested. He will appear in court on April 27, 2020 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 2, 2020, shortly after 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence. One intoxicated individual within the residence was found to be the cause of the problem, and he was arrested to prevent the situation from escalating. The 43-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.

 

IPDA

On March 3, 2020 at approximately 3:30 am, police received a report of an intoxicated individual at a business in the 1900 block of Richmond Ave, wandering around a parking lot. Police located a 29-year-old intoxicated male who was not able to care for himself. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.
