Breach of court order and Drug Charges.

On the evening of March 13, 2020, police were conducting a curfew check in the 800 block of 9th St, when two males attended the residence to visit the occupants. The first male, a 26 year who is well known to police, was checked and found to be on a Court ordered Curfew, which he was breaching. He was arrested and lodged at BCC for court.

The second male, a 47 year old from Brandon, was found to be on a Court Order with the condition that he must consent to search of his person. The search revealed 9 grams of cocaine and 2.5 grams of Meth. He was arrested and lodged at BCC for court.

 

Breach of Release order

On March 13th, around midnight, officers conducted a curfew check on a 37 year old female from Brandon who could not be located. Approximately 5 hours later her vehicle was located near a hotel along the Trans-Canada highway. She was eventually located within the hotel and arrested. She was lodged at BCC for court in the morning.

 

Breach of Probation and Consuming Alcohol underage.  

On March 14th at 0450am, police received a report of an intoxicated male banging on doors along Kirkham Cres. Officers located a highly intoxicated 17 year old male from Brandon who was arrested for consuming alcohol underage. A further check also revealed that he was wanted for breaching his probation order. He was lodged at BCC until sober and will appear in court in April 2020.

 

Arrest Warrants

A 40 year old male from Brandon turned himself into the RCMP as he knew he was wanted by BPS for failing to attend for identification purposes. He was released with a court date in May 2020.

A 37 year old male from EBB and Flow FN was checked in the 1000 block of Princess Ave and found to be wanted on three outstanding charges. He was arrested and lodged at BCC for court.

Police learned of an outstanding warrant for a 28 year old male from Brandon who was already in custody. He was arrested on a new charge of Theft under 5000.00 and issued a new court date for April 2020.

 

MVA with Injuries 

On March 14th at approximately 0330, police were notified of a motor vehicle accident along Highway #1, in the eastbound lanes between 1st St and 18th St. A pickup truck had driven into a moving semi truck and trailer from behind, while the semi was still moving. The driver of the pickup truck was transported to BRHC with serious injuries. The MVA is still under investigation and alcohol is suspected as a cause. The highway was closed from 3:45 – 8:00am.
