Robbery

On March 11, 2020, shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Rosser, as witnesses observed three individuals fighting.

Two of the three fled prior to police arrival, but were located and arrested a short distance away. One of the suspects was in possession of a set of brass knuckles.

Investigation revealed that the disturbance was actually a robbery, and property from the third individual was found on both of the arrested suspects. The victim did not require medical attention.

A 35-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charged of Armed Robbery, Carry Concealed Weapon, and Possess Prohibited Weapon.

A 19-year-old female was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charged of Armed Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, and Fail to comply with Undertaking.

 

Assault

On March 11, 2020 shortly before 10:00 am, police received a report of a disturbance at a residence.

A 32-year-old male was found to be the cause of the disturbance. He assaulted one resident, and then proceeded to wave a machete around in front of other residents. He was also under the influence of alcohol. The victim did not require medical attention.

The male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre. He will appear in court today on charges of Assault, Possession of a Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Recognizance

Between January 30, 2020 and February 18, 2020, a 36-year-old male suspect made contact via phone 32 times with an individual with whom he was to have no contact. The suspect will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Recognizance.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 11, 2020 after 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of two individuals in a business in the 800 block of Rosser Ave who were intoxicated and acting out by fighting with each other, and with employees who were trying to stop them.

The two females who are also sisters, an 18-year-old female, and a 15-year-old female, were arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre until sober.

 

Fail to comply with Release Order

On March 11, 2020, police conducted a traffic stop near Percy Street and Rosser Ave shortly before 8:00 pm. A 25-year-old female passenger was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today.

 

Immediate Roadside Prohibition

On March 11, 2020, police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 2nd street shortly after 11:00 pm. The driver, a 25-year-old female, provided breath samples and failed the approved roadside screening device. Her vehicle was seized, and license suspended.
