For the last 24 hours:

Stolen Vehicle:

Just before 8:00 AM Friday morning, we received a report of a 2018 Ford F150 Supercrew pickup truck having been stolen overnight from a residence on Clark Drive.  The truck was displaying Manitoba license plate CHK375, and was decaled with Keller logos on the rear of the box on each side, and on the tailgate.  The truck was reportedly being driven in the area of 65th Street East around 6:00 PM Friday. The matter is still under investigation.

Residential Break & Enter:

A resident from the 400 block 14th Street reported on Friday morning that her residence had been unlawfully entered between 8:30 – 10:30 AM. There were no signs of forced entry and it is suspected that entry was gained through a door that had been inadvertently left unlocked.  Electronics were stolen from the residence, and this matter is still under investigation.

Shoplifter Apprehended:

At 2:05 PM Friday afternoon, an employee from Superstore reported that a 43 year old male, known to them, and another male suspect, had stolen approx. $100 in meat products from the store. At about 2:45 PM, the primary suspect was located in the 900 block Rosser Avenue and arrested for theft.  He was also found to be in breach of a Probation Order that directed he abstain from alcohol, as he was intoxicated.  He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and later released to appear in court on April 9th.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

A 25 year old male was arrested on the strength of two warrants or his arrest after members were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 300 block Franklin Street at about10:20 PM Friday night. The warrants, held by Winnipeg Police Service and Manitoba First Nations PS, included offences of failing to comply with a probation order, failing to attend court, assault causing bodily harm, and assault. The accused was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear before a justice today.

At about 11:23 PM Friday night, a 27 year old female was arrested on the strength of a warrant for arrest, for failing to comply with a probation order, when she was ejected from a vehicle after the driver tired of dealing with her in her meth-induced aggressive state.  The accused was lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre to sober up, and will be released later today with a court date of March 30th.

Other Arrests:

A 37 year old male was lodged under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act (IPDA) after being found in a snow bank on Regent Crescent.  He was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.

A 44 year old male was lodged under the IPDA after he was taken to BRHC or treatment of gross intoxication.  Once medically cleared, he was still too intoxicated to care for himself.

A highly intoxicated 38 year old male was lodged to prevent a further breach of the peace after he was involved in a dispute with his wife at their residence.  The suspect was damaging their residence and causing other issues.  He will be released once sober.
