Possession of Property Obtained by Crime 

On the morning of 2023-06-22, police received a report from an employee at an establishment in the 1100 block of 18th Street, stating that they believed an individual was attempting to book a room with stolen identification. In addition, the employee conducted a search of social media for the individual named on the identification, and learned the same person recently had their Subaru stolen.  The employee additionally noted the individual that was attempting to book the room to have the same stolen vehicle as on social media parked in the parking lot of the establishment.  Police attended the location and verified that the Subaru mentioned had been reported to WPS as stolen approximately 2.5 hrs earlier.  A 39-year-old male has been released with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-24 for the charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000. 

Warrant

On the evening of 2023-06-22, police conducted a pedestrian stop with a male in the 900 block of Princess Avenue.  A check of police records revealed a warrant of arrest for the 19-year-old male.  The individual has been lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-06-23.

Warrant

On the evening of 2023-06-22, police attended to an address on Buttercup Bay to conduct a warrant check for a 35 year-old-male.  The individual has been lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-06-23.

Failure to Comply with Release Order

On the evening of 2023-06-22, police were conducting an Impaired Driving check stop initiative in the 200 block of 18th Street, when a operator of a vehicle that entered the check stop was found to be bound by a court ordered curfew with a residence in Edmonton.  A 38-year-old male has been lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-06-23.

Warrant

On the evening of 2023-06-22, police conducted a warrant check for an individual near the 800 block of Pacific Avenue.  A 21-year-old female has been released with conditions to appear in court 2023-07-27.

Robbery

On the evening of 2023-06-22, police were patrolling the 1800 block of Brandon Avenue when staff from a beer vendor were observed to be in a physical altercation with two individuals.  Police arrested one of the suspects as the second individual fled on foot.  Nearby witnesses later directed police to a dumpster which the second suspect jumped into in an attempt to evade police.  Investigation revealed that two 17-year-old females attended to the establishment and stole beer, however assaulted a staff member in the process by knocking them to the ground to assist with the escape.  No injuries were sustained by the employee.  One of the accused has been released to a guardian with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-01 for the charge of Robbery with Violence.  A co-accused has been lodged at BPS to appear in court 2023-06-23 for a charge of Robbery with Violence.

Warrant

On 2023-06-23, police attended to a residence in the 700 block of 10th Street to conduct a warrant check for an individual.  A 56-year-old female has been released with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-03.

Intoxicated Person

On 2023-06-23, police attended to a residence in the 1500 block of 6th Street for a report of an intoxicated male.  A 35-year-old male was lodged at BPS until sober.

On 2023-06-23, police conducted a pedestrian check with an individual in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue.  A check of police records revealed a warrant of arrest.  A 27-year-old female was lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-06-23.

On 2023-06-23, police attended to an address in the 100 block of 2nd Street to conduct a warrant check for a 19-year-old female.  The individual has been released with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-03.
