Warrant

On the morning of 2023-06-20, police conducted a pedestrian check with a male in the 1100 block of 18th Street.  A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest for the 32-year-old male.  The individual was lodged at BPS to appear in court 2023-06-21.

Uttering Threats X2/Assault Police Officer

On the afternoon of 2023-06-20, police attended to a residence in the 100 block of 8th Street and arrested an intoxicated male that had previously Uttered Threats to harm the property owner.  While in police custody, the intoxicated male continued his aggressive behavior and threatened to harm the arresting officer, in addition to becoming combative and kicking the officer on the side of the head.  No medical attention was required to the officer.  A 54-year-old male was lodged at BPS to appear in court 2023-06-21 for the charges of Uttering Threats X2 and Assault Police Officer.

Assault Police Officer/Uttering Threats

On the evening of 2023-06-20, police attended to a residence in the 800 block of Frederick Street for a report of a male that was causing a disturbance.  Upon police approaching the door, the male exited the home and aggressively confronted police.  During the interaction, the individual became combative and threatened to harm the officers.  The officers sustained no injuries.  A 40 year old intoxicated male was lodged at BPS and will be released when sober with conditions to appear in court for the charges of Uttering Threats and Assault Police Officer.

Warrant/Assault Police Officer X2

On the evening of 2023-06-20, police attended to a residence in the 1600 block of Mctavish Avenue after receiving a report of an intoxicated male that was causing a disturbance.  Police located the individual responsible, however he proceeded to run through several back lanes and yards.  The male was eventually taken into custody as he continued to resist the efforts of police, and later kicked 2 officers several times while being placed into the rear of a police cruiser.  The officers sustained no injuries.  A check of police records revealed the 17-year-old male to have an outstanding warrant off arrest, in addition to being bound by a Release Order whereby he is not to consume alcohol.  The male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2023-06-21 for the Warrant, Assault Police Officer X2 and Failure to Comply with Release Order.

Mischief to Property Under $5000

While responding to the previous entry, police had placed the 17 year old male in a police cruiser, when a 41-year-old male exited a nearby residence yelling at officers.  The male then ran up to the police cruiser that was occupied by the officer and youth, whereby the male punched the window of the marked police cruiser.  No damage resulted to the vehicle, however the male was arrested and released with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-17 for the charge of Mischief to Property Under $5000.

Domestic Assault/Resist Arrest

On 2023-06-21, police responded to an apartment in the 0 hundred block of Princess Avenue as an intoxicated male was damaging the interior of the residence and threatening the occupants of the home.  Police discovered that the male had assaulted his spouse and at the time of arrest, the 29-year-old male became combative and resisted the efforts of officers.  The male was lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2023-06-21 for the charges of Domestic Assault, Mischief to Property Under $5000 and Resist Arrest.
