Brandon Police Service Media Release for the Past 24 Hours.

On June 8th, a male suspect stole $100 worth of meat products from a store in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The suspect was identified from surveillance video and on June 9th, he was arrested when he returned to the store.  The suspect, a 37 year old man from Brandon, was arrested and released to appear in court in August.

A complaint regarding two people breaking into cars in the 0 hundred block of 10th St was recived early Saturday morning.   Officers attended and located a male suspect in the area.  He was arrested and when searched, a quantity of cocaine, cash, packaging materials and a scale were found on his person.  The male, a 31 year old from Brandon, was arrested and will appear in court on Saturday on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime and Breach of Probation. 

A 43  year old Brandon man was arrested for Mischief to Property on Friday evening.  He was identified as the suspect in damage to a window at a building in the downtown area on May 16th.  He will appear in court in July.

A 53 year old Brandon man was arrested on a warrant for Theft Under $5000. He will appear in court in August.

A 21 year old Brandon man was arrested on the grounds of the Summer Fair on Friday evening.  Officers responded to a report of a possible fight in the fair grounds.  When the officers arrived, a male intentionally bumped into one of the officers and then approached him in an aggressive manner.  The male was taken into custody and lodged until sober. He will be released on Saturday to appear in court in August on charges of Assaulting a Peace Officer and Resisting Arrest.

Four people were arrested on arrest warrants on Friday evening.
