Warrant

On the morning of 2023-07-06, police attended a residence in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue to conduct a warrant check for an individual.  A 49-year-old female was lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-07-07.

Breach of Peace

On the afternoon of 2023-07-06, police received a report of an individual that was going through yards in the 300 block of 23rd Street.  The intoxicated 25-year-old male was located and lodged at BPS until sober.

Warrant

On the afternoon of 2023-07-06, police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 600 block of Princess Avenue with a male known to have an outstanding warrant of arrest.  A 46-year-old male was released with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-21.

Failure to Comply with Undertaking

On the evening of 2023-07-06, police attended a community engagement event near the 800 block of Rosser Avenue when an intoxicated male voluntarily sat in the rear of a police cruiser that was on display to the public.  The individual was belligerent with officers and a check of police records revealed the 19-year-old male to be bound by a court order to not consume intoxicating substances.  The male was subsequently provided a ride to BPS in the same police car that he had previously sat in, and will be released once sober with conditions to appear in court 2023-08-10.

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On 2023-07-05, police received a report from an individual that their credit card had been stolen and utilized at several Brandon businesses.  Police identified the suspect through video surveillance and the individual was conveniently determined to be the same male that was still in police custody from going through people’s yards on 2023-07-06.  A 25-year-old male will be released when sober with conditions to appear in court 2023-09-25 for the charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fraudulent Use of Credit Card X5.

Breach of Peace

On 2023-07-07, police attended to a residence in the 1900 block of Mcdonald Avenue, as a family member was intoxicated and causing a disturbance.  A 19-year-old male was lodged at BPS until sober.

Failure to Comply with Undertaking

On 2023-07-07, police attended a home in the 1500 block of 26th Street as a resident reported that an individual was at the location in contravention to a no contact order.  A 46-year-old male was arrested and lodged at BPS to appear for court 2023-07-07 for the charge of FTC Undertaking.
