Arrest Warrants Executed

At approx. 11:55 PM on Saturday, while conducting a Check Stop in the 2400 block of Victoria Ave, officers identified an occupant of a vehicle and found him to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for arrest. The 40-year-old male from Saskatchewan was arrested on the strength of the warrant for Care & Control of a motor vehicle while impaired, as well as failing to attend court. The male was later released with a court date of October 8th, 2020.

 

At approx. 3:15 Sunday morning, officers were dealing with an incident in the 3700 block of Centennial Blvd involving a possible overdose on Fentanyl. While at the scene, officers questioned a 49-year-old male and found him to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for arrest. The male, from Brandon, was arrested on the strength of the warrant for failing to attend Court. He was later released with a court date of October 13th, 2020.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

At approx. 8:30pm on Saturday, police came upon a disturbance in the 1000 block of Lorne Ave involving intoxicated persons. Officers identified a male who was currently bound by an Undertaking order to abstain from the consumption of alcohol, and not to possess any weapons. After he was arrested for being drunk, officers searched the male and recovered two knives that he had concealed. The 23-year-old male from Brandon was lodged at BPS, and will be released with a court date of August 10th when he is sober enough to understand the release documents.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

At approx. 9:45 AM Saturday, police received a report of 2014 Dodge Ram truck stolen from the 1500 block of Stickney Ave. The truck was located later that day, a short distance away, on 24th Street North with a tampered ignition.

 

Other Arrests

Two adult males and one adult female were arrested overnight and held at the Brandon Police Service for Breach of the Peace, until such time they sobered up.
