Warrant

On the morning of 2024-01-04, police arrested a female that was already in custody by sheriffs at the Brandon Court House.  The 32-year-old has been lodged at BPS to appear in court 2024-01-05.

Warrant

On the morning of 2024-01-04, police attended to a residence in the 200 block of 1st Street to conduct a warrant check for an individual.  A 20-year-old male has been lodged at BPS and will appear in court 2024-01-05.

Warrant

On the afternoon of 2024-01-04, police conducted a pedestrian stop with an individual in the 0 hundred block of 10th Street.  A check of police records revealed the 21-year-old male to have an outstanding warrant.  The accused has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-03-11.

Theft Under $5000

On 2023-12-20, police received a report of a theft from a Brandon business located in the Corral Centre.  A male suspect was identified through video surveillance as being responsible for stealing in excess of $700 of merchandise.  As the accused is in custody on a separate matter, on 2024-01-04 police attended to the Brandon Correctional Centre and arrested the 38-year-old male for the theft, whereby he will appear in court 2024-01-05 for the charge of Theft Under $5000.

Operation While Impaired/Exceeding 80 mg%

On the evening of 2024-01-05, police received a report of a 2 vehicle collision near the 1100 block of 22nd Street.  No injuries were sustained to either of the involved parties, however the operator of the vehicle responsible for rear ending the second vehicle was determined to be impaired by alcohol.  The accused was subsequently brought to BPS where he provided breath samples that were in excess of twice the legal limit.  The 31-year-old male has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-01-08 for the charges of Impaired Operation of a Conveyance and Operation of a Conveyance Exceeding 80 mg%.

FTC Undertaking

On the evening of 2024-01-04, police attended to the 200 block of 1st Street for a report of a disturbance.  A male and female were at the location and determined to be the cause of the problem.  A check of police records revealed that the 21-year-old male is bound by a condition to not communicate with the female.  The accused has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-01-18 for the charge of Failure to Comply with Undertaking.

Warrant/Resist Arrest

On 2024-01-05, police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 100 block of 13th Street.  A check of police records the passenger revealed an outstanding warrant.  While attempting to arrest the individual, he fled from police on foot.  The 36-year-old male was apprehended a short distance away and was lodged at BPS to appear in court 2024-01-05 for the warrant and a new charge of resist arrest.

Breach of Peace

On 2024-01-05, police attended to a residence in the 300 block of Percy Street for a report of an individual causing a disturbance.  To prevent a continuation of disturbances, a 44-year-old male was lodged at BPS until the morning.

Warrant

On 2024-01-05, police conducted a pedestrian stop with an individual in the 200 block of 8th Street.  A check of police records for the 36-year-old male revealed an outstanding warrant.  The accused has been released from police custody with conditions to appear in court 2024-03-14.
