Firearm Discharge

At 0800 hrs, police were notified that a male had attended to the Brandon Regional Health Centre (BRHC) with a gunshot wound to his upper body. Investigation revealed that the discharge had taken place at a residence in the 300 block of 6th street approximately 1 hour prior to the male victim attending the BRHC. Several schools in the area were notified of the investigation and were asked to secure and hold the students inside until investigators had released the scene. The victim was treated and released from hospital with minor injuries. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discharge are still ongoing.

Arrest Warrant Executed

The Winnipeg Police Service arrested a female in their jurisdiction that was evading an outstanding warrant for her arrest that was held by BPS. The female suspect was held in custody to appear in court in Winnipeg.

Arrest Warrant Executed

Portage la Prairie RCMP requested that BPS members execute an outstanding warrant on their behalf on a female that was incarcerated at the Brandon Correctional Center.

Robbery/Warrant Request

On February 14th, a report of a robbery was made by a female victim on Westaway Bay. The female accused demanded money from the victim and when the victim refused, the accused discharged bear spray in the residence and stole the victim’s purse. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful therefore an arrest warrant was issued.

Theft Under $5000

On February 19th, a female suspect stole $150 worth of cosmetic products from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. The suspect was located, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 9th.

Theft Under $5000

Members were on patrol in the 600 block of 10th street when they stopped a male whom was in possession of merchandise that had been stolen from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. He was charged and provided release documentation to appear in court on April 27th.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 0057 hrs, members were called to the 300 block of 9th street for an intoxicated male lying in the middle road. The male suspect was located and found to have an outstanding warrant. He was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre where he would be released when sober with a new court date of March 26th.

The Winnipeg Police Service arrested a female in their jurisdiction that was evading an outstanding warrant for her arrest that was held by BPS. The female suspect was held in custody to appear in court in Winnipeg.

Arrest Warrant Executed

The Winnipeg Police Service arrested a male in their jurisdiction that was evading an outstanding warrant for her arrest that was held by BPS. The male accused was released with a new court date of April 20th.
