Arrest Warrants

On August 3, 2020, police located and arrested a 36-year-old male on outstanding charges including Fail to Attend Court, several charges for failing to comply with court ordered conditions, and weapons offences. He appeared in court the same day.

On August 3, 2020, a 33-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of an outstanding arrest warrant. He will appear in court on a later date on a charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Bear Mace Incident

On July 31, 2020, police responded to a report of an individual being sprayed with bear mace shortly after midnight in the 800 block of Pacific Ave. The victim did not require medical attention at the time. Investigation revealed the identity of the suspect, a 41-year-old female, who was located and arrested on August 3, 2020. She will appear in court on a later date on charges of Assault with a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon.

 

Break and Enters

On August 3, 2020, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a business in the 4000 block of Victoria Ave. Three campers at the business had windows broken, and two of them had been entered. It is unknown if anything was stolen from the campers. Anyone with information regarding these Break and Enters is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

On August 3, 2020, police responded to a separate complaint of a Break and Enter to a business in the 2000 block of Brandon Ave. Suspects gained entry by cutting the fenced in compound, then cutting a lock to a shed. Stolen were two Trek 216WS bicycles, a shelf and golf balls. The bicycles are black and grey in colour, one a men’s style and the other a women’s’ style. Anyone with information regarding this break and enter is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service.

 

Breach of Peace

On August 3, 2020, police responded to a report of a family member causing damage to a residence at approximately 5:00 pm. The 26-year-old male was given several opportunities to leave the residence, as he was no longer welcome by the other members of the home; however, he kept returning and causing problems. The male was intoxicated when arrested, and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Bear Mace

On August 4, 2020, at approximately 12:30 am, police responded to a report of several individuals causing a disturbance in the 1200 block of 10th street. Police located two male youth at that location. The 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old, were in possession of Bear Mace. They were arrested and will appear in court on a later date on charges of Unauthorized Possession of Prohibited Weapon. They were released to their parents. There were no reports of anyone being assaulted with the mace.
