Intoxicated Persons

On April 1st at 09:10 am Police were called to a business in the 1900 block of Queens Avenue. An employee advised an intoxicated female was banging on doors. A 32-year-old female was arrested and will be released in the morning.

 

On April 1st at 12:30 pm police were called to a business in the 00 block of 10th street. An employee reported an intoxicated male had a machete. A 41-year-old male was arrested. He was carrying a twisted piece of metal that resembled a machete. He will be released in the morning.

 

Assault

On April 1st Police arrested a 25-year-old male for domestic assault. On March 24th, 2024, his 25-year-old girlfriend reported she had been assaulted. No serious injuries were reported. The accused was released for court on June 10th, 2024.

 

Assault on a Police Officer

On April 1st at 3:20 pm officers attempted to transport a 32-year-old female from Brandon Police Service cells to Brandon Correctional Center. While being handcuffed the female punched an officer in the face causing minor bruising and swelling. The accused was held for court on April 2nd, 2024.

 

Arrest Warrant

On April 1st at 5:21 pm Police received a call of a disturbance in the 1200 block of 20th street. A female was reported to be darting in and out of traffic and throwing things at cars. Police located a 24-year-old female who alleged she was robbed however she was under the influence of drugs and officers could not confirm her story. She was taken to a friend’s house and police will follow up with the allegation. A 19-year-old male also found in the area was arrested as he an outstanding warrant for assault. He was released for court on May 15th, 2024.
