Sexual Assault

On June 18, 2023, police received a report of a sexual assault at a residence.  Investigation revealed that the 33-year-old male suspect assaulted the adult female victim in her home while he was a guest there. Police were unable to locate the male, and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

On December 5, 2023, shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of an erratic driver in the 3400 block of Victoria Ave. Police located the driver parked in a parking lot in the area, and learned the male was wanted for the above noted sexual assault. Following his arrest, he was released to appear in court on January 8, 2024, on a charge of Sexual Assault.

 

Break and Enter and Commit

On December 5, 2023, at approximately 9:30 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 4100 block of Victoria Ave. Investigation revealed that the 31-year-old male had forced his way into an unauthorized area of the business where he stole keys. He was also found to be in possession of meth upon his arrest. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on charges of Break Enter & Commit and Possess Meth.

 

Theft Under

On December 5, 2023, at approximately 5:30 pm, an off-duty officer with Brandon Police Service observed a 41-year-old male attempt to steal merchandise from a business in the 1600 block of 18th street. The officer held the male at the business until on duty officers arrived. Following his arrest, the male was released to appear in court on January 25, 2024, on a charge of Theft Under $5000. The merchandise was returned to the business.

 

Disobey Order of Court X6

On November 12, 2023, police received a report that a 37-year-old male had failed to abide by conditions not to communicate with another individual.  The male could not be located so police sought a warrant for his arrest. The male continued to communicate with the individual and was eventually located and arrested on December 5, 2023. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on 6 counts of Disobey Order of Court.

 

Breach of the Peace

On December 6, 2023, shortly after 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male causing a disturbance in the 100 block of McTavish Ave by laying on the roadway and being disruptive inside the hospital. The 42-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On December 5, 2023, Manitoba Sheriff Officers contacted police to advise that a 38-year-old male attended to the Brandon Court House and there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest in effect for Fail to Attend Court. Police attended and arrested the male who was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

On December 6, 2023, at approximately 12:30 am, police responded to a report of a male causing issues at a business in the 2800 block of Victoria Ave. The 48-year-old male suspect was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.
