Warrants Executed

On Saturday, members of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service, in Sandy Bay, executed an unendorsed warrant, held by the Brandon Police, on a 30-year-old female from Sandy Bay FN.  The warrant was for numerous offences including mischief, assault and fail to appear in court.  The female was held in custody for court.

On Saturday, members of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service, in Waywayseecappo, executed an endorsed warrant, held by the Brandon Police, on a 19-year-old female from Brandon.  The warrant was for assault with a weapon.  The female was released for court in November.

At approximately 1:30 am, Sunday morning, Brandon Police were called to an intoxicated male causing problems in the 500 block of Franklin.  The male was located and the male was confirmed to have an unendorsed warrant for his arrest, for breach of probation, fail to appear for fingerprints and fail to appear in court.  The male was held in custody and will appear in court in the morning.

 

Court Order Violations

At approximately 9 pm, Saturday evening, police were called to the 600 block of 18 Street for a disturbance.  On female involved, a 21-year-old from Brandon, was found to be on a court order with an 8 pm curfew.  The female was arrested and released for court in November.

 

Weapons/ Drug Offences

At approximately midnight on Saturday night, police conducted a pedestrian stop with a 35-year-old male from Brandon.  The male was found to be carrying a replica handgun, a concealed knife, a small quantity of methamphetamine and a quantity of cash.  The male was charged with carry a concealed weapon, possession for the purpose of trafficking, possess proceeds of crime and possession of a dangerous weapon.  The male was released from custody and will appear in court in November.

 

Impaired Driver

At approximately 10 am, Saturday morning, police were called to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Pacific Ave.  It was learned that a female involved in the disturbance was intoxicated and left the area, driving a vehicle.  The female was located in the 1300 block of Stickney Avenue and displayed signs of impairment.  The female was arrested and returned to the Brandon Police Service where she provided two samples of breath over the legal limit.  The 28-year-old from Brandon was charged with impaired driving, drive over .08 and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.  She was released from custody and will appear in court later in October.

 

Break and Enter

On Saturday morning, a resident in the 400 block of 15 Street reported that his unlocked garage had been entered overnight and several tools had been taken.  Police are continuing to investigate the event.
