Possession of a Weapon
On June 29, 2023, shortly before noon, police observed two individuals involved in a verbal altercation when one of them threw an object at the other while in the 800 block of Victoria Ave. Police attempted to detain the suspect to investigate the matter further but the male fled on foot, and police pursued. While running police observed the male discard a knife. He as eventually arrested, and police learned he was to abide by conditions not to possess any weapons. The 29-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession of a Weapon, Resist Arrest and Fail to Comply with Release Order X2.
Assault
On June 28, 2023, police received a report of an assault, which occurred in a residence earlier in the month. On June 29, 2023, the 39-year-old male suspect was located and arrested. He was later released to appear in court on August 31, 2023 on a charge of Assault.
Breach of the Peace
On June 29, 2023, at 8:30 pm, police responded to a report of a male who was causing a disturbance in the area of Brandon City Hall. The 29-year-old male suspect was located and arrested. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Mischief Under $5000
On June 29, 2023 shortly after midnight, police received a report that an individual broke a window at a business in the 900 block of Rosser Ave before fleeing. Security footage assisted police in identifying the 19-year-old male suspect. He was located and arrested shortly before 11:00 pm. He was later released to appear in court on August 31, 2023 on a charge of Mischief Under.
IPDA
On June 29, 2023, shortly after 11:00 pm, police received a report of an intoxicated female in the area of the 3600 block of Rosser Ave. Police located the 35-year-old female who was in no condition to care for herself. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On June 29, 2023, at approximately 5:00 pm, police located and arrested a 26-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation. She was later released to appear in court on July 31, 2023.
