Theft of Vehicle

On Wednesday afternoon, a woman reported that her 2017 Dodge Caravan had been stolen from the 3500 block of Willowdale Cres.  At approx. 5:30 PM police located the vehicle in the 000 block of Willowdale Cres.  The investigation has revealed video recording of the 31-year-old male suspect driving the vehicle just prior to it being recovered.  The male was located in the area where the vehicle was found.  He was arrested and is being held for court charged with theft of vehicle and 2 count of breaching conditions of a previous court release.

 

Assault with a Weapon

At approx. 8:45 PM Wednesday, police were called to a residence in the 1300 block o 1st St for an assault.  Upon arrival it was learned that a 12 year old had assaulted an adult in the home by striking her with a broom handle.  The youth was arrested for assault with a weapon, and later released with a court date of September 29.

 

Assault with a Weapon

At approx. 3:45 AM today, officers were called to a residence on Crocus Cres for an assault.  Upon arrival, it was learned that a 21-year-old female had assaulted another female by striking her over the head with a coffee mug.  The victim sustained a significant injury because of the assault.  She was taken to BRHC where she was treated for lacerations.  The 21-year-old female accused was arrested and held in custody.  She will be released later today with a court date of October 19th.
