Assault Peace Officer X2

On June 28, 2023 at 2:30 pm, police responded to a report of an individual who was failing to abide by his 24-hour curfew.  Police located the 19-year-old male suspect in the 700 block of Victoria Ave, drinking a beer, which was also contrary to his release conditions. 

Once the male was arrested, he was taken for medical clearance prior to being lodged at Brandon Police Service.  While awaiting to be cleared, he punched one officer and spit on another.  The officers did not receive any injuries.

He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault Peace Officer X2 and Fail to Comply with Release Order X2. 

 

Mischief to Property

On June 28, 2023 at approximately 9:00 am, police responded to a report of a suspect throwing rocks at passing cars in the 700 block of Princess Ave.  Police located and arrested the 20-year-old female suspect, who was highly intoxicated at the time. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober to appear in court on July 27, 2023 on a charge of Mischief to Property.

 

Theft of Vehicle

On June 28, 2023, police received a report of a vehicle theft from the 700 block of Percy Street.  The suspect took the vehicle early in the morning and may have gotten access to the keys.  The vehicle is described as a 1979 green Pontiac Sunfire with Manitoba license FBG 193.

IPDA

On June 29, 2023 at approximately 12:30 am, police came across a male in the 600 block of 13th street, who was highly intoxicated and crying.  The 20-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself and there was nobody else to turn him over to.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of the Peace

On June 29, 2023 at approximately 3:00 am, police responded to a report of an unwanted intoxicated female at a residence.  The homeowner needed assistance in removing 23-year-old female.  To prevent the suspect’s actions from escalating, she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On June 28, 2023, at approximately 10:30 am, police located and arrested a 51-year-old male in the 800 block of Rosser.  He was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court.

On June 28, 2023 shortly after 11:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 18th street.  A 17-year-old female passenger was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Uttering Threats, Resist Arrest and Obstruct Peace Officer.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court on August 9, 2023.

On June 28, 2023 shortly before 2:00 pm, police located and arrested a 35-year-old male in the 500 block of 10th street.  He was known to be wanted on outstanding charges of Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference.  He was later released to appear in court on August 2, 2023.

On June 28, 2023 shortly after 1200 pm, police located and arrested a 17-year-old female at her home.  She was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was later released to appear in court on August 1, 2023.
