Warrant Executed

At approx. 10 AM Friday May 26, officers were called to the 800 block of 26th St for an unwanted male.  Upon arrival they located and identified the male.  Further checks revealed that he was the subject of an outstanding warrant of arrest from the Winnipeg Police Service for assault. He was arrested, and was lodged at the Brandon Police Service, awaiting a court appearance today.

Break and Enter

At approx. 7 AM Friday a resident of Harrington Place reported his garage was broken into overnight.  The caller indicated that numerous Dewalt tools and other goods were taken from the attached garage.  The matter is still under investigation.

Assault / Mischief

On Friday at approx. 5 PM, officers arrested a 39 year old Brandon male for assault and mischief to property.   Police had received a report the day prior that the male had assaulted his ex and did minor damage to her car during the altercation.  The male has been released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 10.

Unlawfully in a Dwelling / Fail to Comply with a Court Order

At 7 PM Friday evening, police were called to a residence in the 900 block of 8th St for a suspicious male.  The male was located within the residence and was found to be on a court order not to attend to that specific address.  He was arrested for being unlawfully in a dwelling and for breaching his court order.  The 29 year old male will appear in court later today.

Mischief / Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

At approx. 9 PM Friday, police were called to the 300 block of Percy St for a male that had just broken the window of the caller’s car. Upon arrival it was determined that the caller and the suspect male were siblings and the suspect was not welcome at that address.  The officers approached the car to find the male inside.  He was ordered out of the vehicle by the officers, and as he exited the car he armed himself with a hatchet.  The officers were able to disarm the suspect and affect an arrest.  He was held overnight at the Brandon Police Service and has since been released with a court date of July 10.

Warrant Executed  

At approx. 5 AM today, officers were called to a business in the 3400 block of Victoria Ave for a disturbance. There was an altercation involving 3 males.  One of the three was found to be on a court order not to communicate with the other two.  As a result, the 19 year old male was arrested and will be held for court later today.
