Sexual Assault – Suspect Arrested

On May 21, 2023, police received a report of a 23-year-old male who had given meth to a 15-year-old female victim.  The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment by her parents.

Police learned the suspect and the victim had begun conversing over Snap Chat during the previous 18-months.  The male also brought the victim to his residence on several occasions.

An investigation into the suspect’s actions towards the victim during the 18-months lead police to arrest him on May 24, 2023 for Luring, Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, Invitation to Sexual Touching, and Administer Noxious Thing.  He will appear in court on July 20, 2023.

 

Breach of the Peace

On May 24, 2023 between approximately 8:00 pm and midnight, police received numerous complaints about an intoxicated female causing issues wherever she went.  Police eventually caught up with her at a residence in the 200 block where she was arrested.  The 21-year-old female was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On May 24, 2023, shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an unwanted intoxicated female at an apartment building in the 300 block of 10th street.  Police located and arrested the 22-year-old female and lodged her at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On May 24, 2023, a 23-year-old female and a 14-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service separately to turn themselves in on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  Both were later released and will appear in court in July 2023.

On May 24, 2023, shortly after 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of an unwanted male at a residence.  The male left on his own, but police learned he was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking, Criminal Harassment, and Utter Threats.  The 27-year-old male was located and arrested.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

On May 25, 2023, shortly after 2:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Rosser Ave as the vehicle was driving the wrong way.  A 44-year-old male passenger was found to be the subject of outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court, Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operation Over 80 mg%.  Following his arrest, he was released to appear in court in June 2023.

On May 25, 2023 at approximately 3:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Princess Ave E.  The 49-year-old male driver was found to be the subject of outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court and B&E and Commit.  Following his arrest, he was released to appear in court in July 2023.

On May 25, 2023, police located and arrested a 21-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court, and B&E with Intent.  He was later released to appear in court in June 2023.
