Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth

On May 23, 2023 shortly before 1:00 am, police observed a male on a bicycle in the area of the 900 block of Lorne Ave.  The male was not stopping at any stop signs, and was therefore stopped. 

The male initially provided police with a false name.  Once police learned his identity, the 20-year-old male was found to be breaching six release conditions and was arrested.  Upon his arrest, police discovered he was in possession of several ID’s belonging to other people, 3.5 oz. of meth, and a large knife. 

The suspect was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Weapon, Public Mischief Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Comply with Release Order X6.

 

Stolen Vehicle – Recovered in Winnipeg – Suspects Arrested

On May 22, 2023, at approximately 9:00 pm, police received a report of a vehicle theft from the 000 block of 9th street.  On May 23, 2023, after 5:00 am, Winnipeg Police Service advised they had recovered the stolen vehicle in their jurisdiction, and had arrested two occupants, a 26-year-old female and a 29-year-old male.

 

Arrest Warrant

On May 22, 2023 shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of an unwanted male at a residence.  The male was refusing to leave.  When police arrived, they learned the 22-year-old male was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation X 4.  He was arrested and lodged to appear in court today.
