Possession of a Weapon

On June 15, 2023, police responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance in the 1400 block of Richmond Avenue East. Further investigation revealed that he had been refused taxi service, at which time he proceeded to punch out a window and use a knife to stab one of the vehicle tires. The 44-year-old was arrested and later released to appear in court in August on charges of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x2 and Mischief to Property Under $5000.

Theft Under $5000

On June 5, 2023, police responded to a report of a theft of merchandise in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. Video surveillance was obtained the suspect was later identified. On June 15, 2023, the 36-year-old male was located and arrested. He was released to appear in court on July 31, 2023, on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

Arrest Warrants

On June 15, 2023, police located and arrested a 32-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Impaired Driving, Drive Over .08, and Fail to Appear Ident x2.  She was later released to appear in court on July 10, 2023.

Breach of the Peace

On June 16, 2023, shortly before 2:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing problems in the 1200 block of 9th Street. Upon being located by police she remained uncooperative. The 22-year-old was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober.

 

IPDA

On June 15, 2023, shortly after 6pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male laying in the 700 block of 10th street.  The 29-year-old was in no position to care for himself.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
