Assault on Corrections Officer

On Friday, March 1st, Police received a complaint that a Corrections Officer had been assaulted the previous day, while on duty at the Brandon Correctional Centre. The resulting investigation lead to a 39yr old male from Waywayseecappo, currently an inmate at BCC, being charged with Assaulting a Peace Officer. He will appear in Court today.

 

BPS Warrant Executed

 A 24yr old female from Brandon was arrested yesterday on the strength of an Endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Theft Under $5,000. At approximately 12:15pm, Police located the female in the 200 block of Rosser Aver, where she was arrested and then released to appear in Court in April.

 

Disturbance leads to Provincial Offence Notice

At approximately 1am, Police responded to a residence in the 1300 block of 5th St. after receiving a call that a highly intoxicated female was at that location and causing problems.  A 23yr old female was arrested, charged with Trespassing, and lodged until sober.

 

Assault and Utter Threats

At 2:20am, Police were notified of a text that was received from a person in a vehicle that lead to concerns as to the safety of some of the occupants within that vehicle. The occupants were located and the subsequent investigation lead to a 45yr old Brandon man being charged with Assault and Utter Threats. He will appear in Court in May.

 

Breach of Peace

At approximately 3:40am, Police were called to the 1900 block of Richmond Ave for a male causing a disturbance at a residence. A 21yr old from Brandon was arrested and lodged for Breach of Peace until sober.
