Assault
On August 15, 2023, shortly after 3:00 pm, police received a report of a youth being assaulted by two other youth in the area of the 700 block of 18th street. The victim did not require medical attention, and the two suspects left the area. On August 17, 2023, police located and arrested one of the suspects, a 15-year-old female. She was later released to her parent and will appear in court on November 17, 2023 on a charge of Assault.
Mischief Under $5000
On July 5, 2023, police received a report of a suspect spray-painting a lamppost in the 400 block of 9th street. Security footage assisted police in identifying the accused. The 32-year-old male was arrested on August 17, 2023 and later released to appear in court on October 12, 2023 on a charge of Mischief Under $5000.
IPDA
On August 17, 2023 shortly after 5:00 pm, police responded to a male in the area of the 000 block of 1st street. The male was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Public Mischief
On August 18, 2023 at approximately 12:30 am, police came across a male pedestrian in the 1100 block of Victoria Ave. The male initially provided a false name, to avoid being arrested on outstanding warrant charges of Robbery. Once the identity of the 34-year-old male was confirmed, he was arrested and later released to appear in court on November 11, 2023 on charges of Public Mischief and Robbery.
Arrest Warrants
On August 17, 2023, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 1800 block of 1st street at 11:00 am. One of the passengers was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant. The 44-year-old male was arrested and later released to appear in court on September 14, 2023 on charges of Fail to Attend Court and Operation of a Vehicle while Prohibited.
On August 17, 2023, shortly before 10:00 am, police located and arrested a 21-year-old male in a parking lot in the 1600 block of 18th street. The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Sexual Assault and Adult Incest.
On August 17, 2023, police located and arrested a 25-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court. He was later released and will appear in court on October 10, 2023.
On August 18, 2023, police located and arrested a 24-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Release Order. She was later released to appear in court on September 18, 2023.
On August 18, 2023, police locate and arrested a 41-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation X2 and Fail to Attend Court. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
