Court Order Violation
On Wednesday evening, police attended a disturbance in the 600 block of Assiniboine Avenue. A 55-year-old male was located and in possession of liquor, in contravention of his court order. The male was arrested and released for fail to comply with an undertaking and will appear in court in October.
Warrant Executed
On Wednesday afternoon, BPS members attended a local hotel to assist staff with an unwelcome guest. The 26-year-old male occupant, of no fixed address, was known to be wanted on an unendorsed warrant and was arrested without incident. Located in plain view inside the hotel room was a can of bear spray and a quantity of cocaine and methamphetamine. The male was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking as well as possession of a prohibited weapon. He was held in custody for court in the morning.
Robbery
On Wednesday morning, two youths were approached by a female who engaged them in conversation. The female suspect then pulled one youth to the ground by the hair and took the backpack from the second victim. The accused, a 32-year-old female from Brandon, was located by police still in the area of the event. The female was in possession of the stolen backpack. The suspect was charged with robbery and held for release from custody when sober. She will appear in court in November.
