Assault/Utter Threats

On August 16, 2023, shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence.  Investigation revealed that two individuals were arguing over money, which led to both threats and an assault.  Police arrested a 55-year-old female and later released her to appear in court on October 26, 2023 on a charge of Assault.  Police arrested a 54-year-old male and later released him to appear in court on October 23, 2023 on a charge of Uttering Threats.  There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

 

Theft Under $5000

On August 16, 2023 shortly after 11:00 am, police responded to a report of a stolen bike from a residential yard on Cornwallis Cres.  The theft was captured on security footage that assisted police in identifying the suspect.  Shortly before 1:00 pm, police located and arrested the 32-year-old suspect at his residence.  He was later released and will appear in court on October 16, 2023 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Breach of the Peace

On August 16, 2023 shortly before 9:00 pm police responded to a report of an intoxicated female laying in the middle of the road near Cornell Bay.  The 22-year-old female was located and arrested and was lodged at Brandon Police Service as there was nobody to look after her.

 

Disobey a Court Order

On August 6, 2023, police received a report of a male contacting an individual via messages, contrary to a court order on August 5, 2023.  On August 16, 2023, the 34-year-old male turned himself in to Brandon Police Service.  He was released to appear in court on August 26, 2023 on a charge of Disobey a Court Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On August 16, 2023, police conducted a curfew check on a 15-year-old male.  He was not at home at the time, but he was located shortly before 11:00 pm walking in the area of 12th street and Lorne Ave.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court this morning on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Arrest Warrants

On August 16, 2023, police located and arrested a 36-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On August 16, 2023, police located and arrested a 41-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation.  She was later released to appear in court on October 10, 2023.
