Break and Enter

On Tuesday morning, police received a report of a break and enter to a storage locker in the 300 block of 18th St N.  The suspect broke the lock on the door and entered.  At the time of report, the caller was still conducting an inventory on the contents to determine what if anything had been stolen.  The investigation is continuing.

  

Break, Enter and Theft

At approx. 1:00 PM Tuesday afternoon police received a report of a break and enter which occurred overnight to a garage in the 1200 block of 7 St. Entry was gained through the man door, and once the suspect stole a Mastercraft table saw and cordless drill as well as a socket set and a Worx vacuum / blower.  The incident is still under investigation. 

 

Arrest Warrants Executed

On Tuesday afternoon, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, which did not appear to be registered.  The driver produced a valid temporary registration and indicated they were on the way to register the vehicle and obtain a permanent set of plates.  The officer checked further and it was discovered that the 41-year-old male driver from Waywayseecappo had an arrest warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints after having been charged with a previous crime.  The 37-year-old female passenger of Brandon was found to be the subject of a warrant for trafficking meth and failing to attend court.  Both subjects were arrested on the strength of their respective warrants. They were later released with a court date of November 15.  

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 2 PM Tuesday afternoon, officers conducted a pedestrian check in the 600 block of Pacific Ave.  The 37 year old female, who is known to police was found to be the subject of a warrant for her arrest for charges of theft under $5000 and ailing to appear for fingerprinting.  She was arrested and after photographs and fingerprints were obtained, she was release with a court date of November 30.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 2:55 PM a vehicle with inactive licence plates, was stopped by police.  One of the occupants of the vehicle was found to be the subject of a warrant, for failing to appear for fingerprinting.  The 35-year-old female from Waywayseecappo was arrested and later released with a court date of November 30.

  

Mischief to Property / Carry Concealed Weapon

At approx. 9:20 PM Tuesday police were called to the Towne Centre for a female that was just observed putting graffiti on the building.  The22 year old Brandon female was located in the area and arrested.  At the time of arrest she was found to be concealing a knife in a sheath and two cleavers within her clothing.  She has been charged with mischief to property, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous.  She will appear in court on November 2.

  

Weapon Possession

At approx. 11:55 PM Tuesday, officers checked a male in the 2200 block of Park Ave.  The male was observed carrying a long stick, which had nails protruding from its end.  The 35 year old Brandon male, well known to police from previous dealings, was arrested or possessing a weapon.  Further search incident to arrest revealed he was also concealing machete, strapped to his chest, and he was in possession of a previously reported stolen bankcard.  The male is currently bound by a court ordered weapon prohibition and a curfew both conditions he was in breach of.  The male was held in custody overnight and will appear in court today with two counts of possession of a weapon, 3counts o failing to comply with his release order and possession of stolen property.

  

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 3 AM today, officers stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of 10th St.  The 31-year-old rural Brandon male was found to be wanted on charges of possession of a weapon, impaired driving and flight from police.  He was arrested and held for court later today.  

 

Fail to comply with Release order

At approx. 4:15 AM, police observed 2 individuals walking along the railway tracks in the area behind the 2200 block of Park Ave.  One male fled and was not located the second was stopped by police and was found to be the subject o a curfew and an abstain from alcohol clause.  He was arrested for 2 counts of failing to comply with his release order and later released with a court date of November 9.
