Break Enter and Theft

At approx. 7:50 AM Monday, a resident in the 300 block of 16th St reported a break and enter to their garage. The suspect(s) forced the door of the garage to gain entry and once inside they sole a Divencia road bike valued at approx. $2000. The matter is still under investigation.

 

Stolen Vehicle

At approx. 10:30 AM Monday, police received a report of a theft of vehicle from the back lane of the 300 block of 21st St.  The vehicle owner indicated that the vehicle was parked there at 1:00 AM but in the morning, it was gone.  The vehicle is described as a grey coloured, 2008 Saturn Vue, with Manitoba licence HTW 477.  As of this morning the vehicle has not been recovered.  

  

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 9:15 PM Monday, officers conducted a vehicle stop on Cornell Bay.  The vehicle was being operated with a smashed windshield, which precipitated the stop. During the stop a passenger of the vehicle was identified and found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for arrest.  The 42-year-old Brandon male was arrested on the strength of the warrant for 3 counts of Breach of Probation, as well as failing to attend Court and failing to attend for photographs and fingerprinting.  The male was later released with a court date of August 10.

 

Other Arrests

  • 1 person was arrested and held at the Brandon Police Service under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act
  • 1 person was arrested and held at the Brandon Police Service for Breach of the Peace
