January 14th Media Release 

Assault

On Saturday January 13th, at 620am, Police responded to an assault complaint in the 1900 block of Queens Ave.  It was discovered that a 33yr old female had been assaulted by being kicked in the face. A 31yr old Brandon women has been charged and released to appear in Court on February 12th.

 

Video Surveillance leads to arrest

December 27, 2023th there was a reported theft of approximately $40 taken out of the tip jar at a business in the 800 block of 18th St. N. On January 12th, 2024 this same individual was responsible for a theft of merchandise at a business in the 2600 Block of Victoria Ave. Video Surveillance lead to the identification of a 30yr old Brandon man. He was located on Saturday, charged for the thefts and will appear in Court in March.

 

Traffic stop leads Drug and Resist Arrest charges

On Saturday evening around 11pm, Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of 26th St. The ensuing investigation lead to all of the occupants being removed from the vehicle. The operator who refused to exit, made attempts to put the vehicle is gear to drive away and continued to resist as attempts were made to get him out, which ultimately lead to a Taser being deployed to assist in gaining control.

A search, incident to arrest, lead to the discovery of a little over 3grams of Fentanyl. The 33yr old male from Erickson, will appear in Court today after being charged with Possessing a Controlled Substance, Resist Arrest, Flight from Police and 7 counts of Failing to Comply with his Release Order.
