Possession of Break-In Instruments

On June 13, 2023, at approximately 3:30 am police responded to a report of a male who appeared to be checking vehicles in the area of the north hill.  A 38-year-old male suspect was located and arrested on Kirkcaldy Drive.  Police discovered he was in possession of two stolen wallets from the 500 block of Braecrest Drive. He was also in possession of side cutters.  He was later released to appear in court on August 3, 2023 on charges of Possession of Break-In Instruments and Possess Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Uttering Threats

On June 12, 2023, at approximately 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who threatened employees at a business in the 1500 block of 18th street.  The male was banned from the store after he was caught attempting to steal merchandise, which caused him to threaten that he would come back and shoot the employees.  Security footage from the business assisted police in identifying the male who was later located and arrested shortly after 9:00 pm.  The male was also responsible for the theft of merchandise from another business in the 1200 block of 18th street earlier in the evening.  He will be released to appear in court on August 17, 2023 on charges of Uttering Threats and Theft Under $5000.

 

Assault

On June 8, 2023, police received a report of a male suspect who assaulted and threatened an employee at a business in the 1100 block of 18th street and caused damage to a VLT before leaving.  The employee did not require medical attention.

Security footage from the business assisted police in identifying the 29-year-old suspect, who was located and arrested on June 12, 2023.  He was later released to appear in court on August 14, 2023 on charges of Mischief to Property Under $5000, Assault and Uttering Threats. 

 

Break and Enter to Residential Garage

On June 12, 2023, police received a report of a break and enter to a garage in the 400 block of 6th street.  Once inside, suspects stole a black GT Aggressor Mountain bike.

Arrest Warrants

On June 12, 2023, shortly after 9:00 am, police responded to a report of a suspect throwing objects at a window in the 000 block of 7th street.  The 33-year-old male suspect was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court and Uttering Threats.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court this summer. 

On June 12, 2023, a 23-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service, as she was aware she was wanted on outstanding charges.  She was later released to appear in court on July 31, 2023 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

On June 12, 2023, police located and arrested a 62-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fraud and Make/Sell Forged Documents.  She was later released to appear in court in July 2023.
