Attempted Robbery

On October 10, 2023, at approximately 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of an attempted robbery in the 600 block of 18th street.  The victim reports being approached by a female with a knife who threatened to stab her and demanded money.  The victim managed to get away from the suspect who then fled on foot.  The victim was physically unharmed.

Police located and arrested the 17-year-old female suspect hiding in a shed in the 1600 block of McTavish.  The suspect was from a rural address and was lodged at Brandon Police Service until a parent could attend to pick her up this morning.  She will appear in court on December 19, 2023, on a charge of Attempted Robbery.

 

Breach of the Peace

On October 11, 2023, at approximately 1:30 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence.  A male suspect had caused damage to a window before leaving.  The 36-year-old male was located and arrested.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until morning to prevent his behavior from continuing.

On October 11, 2023, at approximately 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at the hospital.  The 31-year-old female was from a rural address.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until a sober friend could pick her up.

On October 10, 2023, shortly after 8:00 am, police responded to a report of a male causing issues near businesses in the 1500 and 1600 block of 18th street by bothering patrons.  Police located and arrested the 29-year-old male.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his behavior from continuing.

 

Theft of Vehicle

On October 10, 2023, police responded to a report of a vehicle theft from a business in the 400 block of Park Ave E.  Suspects stole the 2006 white Ford F250 with Manitoba license CFR 943 overnight.

Arrest Warrants

On October 10, 2023, police responded to a report of a 37-year-old female at the Brandon Courthouse who was wanted on two outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was arrested to appear in court.

On October 10, 2023, police located and arrested a 45-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released to appear in court on November 9, 2023.

On October 10, 2023, police located and arrested a 48-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was later released to appear in court on December 14, 2023.

On October 10, 2023, shortly before 3:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of college Ave.  The driver was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Fraud Under.  The 38-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

On October 10, 2023, shortly after 4:00 pm, police located and arrested an 18-year-old female in the 000 block of 10th street, who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Appear in Court.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On October 6, 2023, police learned that a 17-year-old female who was to abide by a daily curfew, had left her residence.  On October 10, 2023, she was located and arrested.  She was later released to appear in court on December 5, 2023, on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.
