Homicide

On August 8, 2023 at approximately 11:43 pm, police and members of BFES responded to a report of an unconscious male in the 400 block of 12th street. 

Witnesses attempted to preform CPR on the male prior to the arrival of first responders; however, the adult male victim had serious injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Brandon Police Service Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate.

 

Arrest Warrants

On August 8, 2023, police located and arrested a 40-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On August 8, 2023, shortly before 4:00 pm, police came across a pedestrian in the 1800 block of Richmond Ave, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  The 33-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

On August 8, 2023, a 12-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service, as she was aware of outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  She was later released to appear in court on September 19, 2023.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On August 9, 2023, shortly after 10:00 am, police responded to a situation at a business in the 3100 block of Victoria Ave.  Two of the individuals involved were found to be failing to abide by release conditions and arrested.  The 42-year-old male and the 44-year-old female were both lodged at Brandon Police Service and will each appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with release conditions X2.
