Assault

On June 1, 2023, shortly after 5:00 pm, police observed an assault in progress in the 900 block of Rosser Ave, as the suspect pushed the victim up against a wall and held her there.  Officers arrested the 22-year-old male suspect and learned that he was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the adult female victim.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation.  The victim did not require medical attention.

 

Fraudulently Obtaining Food

On June 1, 2023, shortly before 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who attempted to leave without paying for his meal from a restaurant in the 1200 block of 18th street.  The 33-year-old male left out the emergency exit, but was arrested nearby.  He was later released to appear in court on July 27, 2023 on a charge of Fraudulently Obtaining Food.

 

Theft Under $5000

On June 1, 2023, at 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male who stole approximately $200 in grocery meat from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The 24-year-old male was located and arrested nearby.  He was later released to appear in court on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Cause Disturbance by Being Drunk

On June 1, 2023, at approximately 10:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male at a business in the 900 block of Rosser Ave, who was becoming physically aggressive with the employees.  Police located the 34-year-old male nearby causing issues with some other individuals.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will be released once sober to appear in court on July 20, 2023 on a charge of Cause Disturbance by Being Drunk.

 

Breach of the Peace

On June 1, 2023 shortly before 10:00 am, police responded to a report of a 30-year-old male causing a disturbance within his home.  Family members were unable to prevent his actions from escalating.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On June 1, 2023 shortly after 5:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the 1500 block of 15th street.  The 21-year-old female had nowhere to go, and she was in no condition to care for herself.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On June 1, 2023, police located and arrested a 28-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Utter Threats, and Mischief Under.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

On June 1, 2023, police located and arrested a 30-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.  She was later released to appear in court on August 24, 2023.
