UPDATE – Homicide – Suspect Arrested

On August 31, 2023, following an investigation into the murder of 46-year-old Robert HALL, police located and arrested 25-year-old Jarrod PAUL on a charge of Second-Degree Murder.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

Original release from August 28, 2023:

On August 27, 2023, at 1:34 pm, police happened across an individual laying in the 900 block of Pacific Ave.  At approximately the same time, a 911 call was received reporting a possible stabbing in the same area.  The 46-year-old male victim that police had located was suffering from injuries consistent with a stabbing.  He was transported to the hospital via ambulance where he later succumbed to his injuries. 

Members of BPS Major Crime Section and Forensic Identification Unit attended to the scene where the victim was located to conduct an investigation into the homicide.  The investigation continues.

Aggravated Assault

On September 1, 2023, shortly after 1:00 am, police responded to a report of a possible break and enter to an apartment in the 300 block of 13th street.  When police arrived they noted blood on the walls and floor, but nobody was inside.

Police responded again to the same address shortly after 3:00 am for a similar complaint.  An adult male was located at the building with several serious but non-life-threatening injuries that appeared to be caused by an edged weapon.  He was transported to the hospital to receive medical attention. 

Police arrested a 22-year-old female at the scene.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Aggravated Assault.

 

Theft Under $5000

On August 31, 2023, police responded to a report of the theft of a cell phone from a parked car in the 800 block of Princess Ave shortly after 3:00 pm.  A witness took a photo of the 30-year-old male suspect, which assisted police in identifying him.  He was located nearby and arrested.  He was later released to appear in court on November 9, 2023, on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Arrest Warrants

On August 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 31-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On August 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 20-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court and Fail to comply with Release Order.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On August 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 48-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court.

On August 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 32-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court.

On August 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 19-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court.

On August 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 45-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released to appear in court on September 28, 2023.
