Residential Snow Clearing Update For Jan.6th

January 6, 2015

Brandon, MB. - The City of Brandon’s Streets and Roads Department continues to focus its snow plowing efforts in residential areas this week.

Today, graders are wrapping up work in the area south of Rosser Avenue, from 26th Street to 34th Street. This evening and overnight, crews will move into the area between 18th Street to 26th Street, from Victoria Avenue south to Patricia Avenue. They’ll also be clearing streets in the area between 1st Street and 18th Street, from College Avenue south to Patricia Avenue.

Clearing of streets in the Green Acres/East End area will follow, while streets in the core/downtown areas that tend to be a bit more congested will first need to be signed with “No Parking” signs and then cleared later in the week.

As always, residents can greatly assist the City's snow-clearing operations by keeping an eye out for equipment in their neighbourhood and finding off-street parking alternatives until the work is complete.
