Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon (City) has submitted two applications to the Public Utilities Board (Board).
The first application is for approval of Utility operating deficits for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020 and 2021. The sum of the deficits is $15,869,919 and the Utility is seeking the Board’s approval to recover these deficits by rate rider over a period of seven years.
The proposed deficit rate riders are as follows:

The second application is for revised water and wastewater rates for the Brandon Water and Wastewater Utility (Utility) as set out in By-Law No. 7342, read the first time on July 18, 2022. Rates were last approved in 2016 in Board Order No. 60/16, with current rates coming into effect in July 1, 2018.
