City of Brandon Christmas & New Year's Holiday Hours

Brandon, MB – The City of Brandon wishes to advise residents of the 2022 Christmas and New Year’s holiday hours of operation.    

Brandon City Hall (410 - 9th Street), A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Avenue), Civic Services Complex (900 Richmond Avenue East) and Parks Complex (2020 McGregor Avenue) will be closed the following days: 

December 26 

December 27 

January 2, 2023 

 

Brandon Transit hours: 

Saturday, December 24            6 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

Sunday, December 25               No regular transit. Brandon Access Transit is operating by appointment only.

Monday, December 26             9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Saturday, December 31            6 a.m. to January 1 at 3 a.m.  

Sunday, January 1                      9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Transit Information Centre is closed December 26, 27, and January 2, 2023.  

Ring in the New Year with Brandon Transit! Ride Brandon Transit for free New Year’s Eve from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. 

 

Brandon’s Community Sportsplex hours: 

December 24                 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Brandon’s Youth Centre hours:

Regular refuse and recycle collection will continue to be collected on Tuesday, December 27. 

 

Brandon Municipal Cemetery is located on 18th Street South and is open to the public seven days a week from dawn to dusk. The Cemetery Office will be closed December 26 – 27, and January 2.  

 

Regular hours of operation are in place December 28 – 30 and return to normal on January 3, 2023. 

All after-hours Public Works emergencies should be directed to the City of Brandon Public Works After-Hours Line at 204-729-2285. Non-emergent issues can be report to brandon.ca/report-an-issue.

Winter Concerts at the Skating Oval December 28 and 30th  

Join us December 28 and December 30 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Skating Oval for FREE concerts and hot chocolate from Chez Angela’s. Visit brandon.ca/music for details.

 

End of the Year Party at the Sportsplex December 30th  

Join us for a FREE Skate at Brandon’s Community Sportsplex December 30th from 6 - 7 p.m. Bring a non-perishable food item in lieu of admission. Donations will be given to a local charity.             

 

Ski & Snowmobile Trails, the Skating Oval, and Toboggan Hills are open!  

Enjoy the Manitoba weather at one of the many City’s toboggan hills,  ski & snowmobile trails, outdoor rinks, or skating oval
