Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the Water Treatment Facility lost power earlier this afternoon causing some residents to temporarily lose access to water.

The power outage on October 19, 2022 has led to the loss of water pressure in the western portion of the Brandon distribution system [south of the Assiniboine River to Richmond, west of 18th Street]. Distribution depressurization can compromise the safety of the water supply; therefore, a boil water advisory has been issued to ensure public health protection.

Power at the at the Water Treatment Facility has returned to normal.
