City of Brandon Hours For National Day For Truth And Reconciliation

Brandon, MB – Please be advised of the following hours of operation for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Friday, September 30th, 2022, at the City of Brandon: 

  • Brandon City Hall (410 - 9th Street), A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Avenue), Civic Services Complex (900 Richmond Avenue East) and Parks Complex (2020 McGregor Avenue) will be closed. 

  • Brandon Transit will be running regular hours from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. The Transit Information Centre will be closed. 

  • Brandon’s Community Sportsplex will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 

  • Brandon’s Youth Centre will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 

  • The Eastview Landfill is open 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Material Recovery Facility will be closed.  Regular collection will take place on Friday.  

    • A reminder that Eastview Landfill hours will change on Saturday, October 1, 2022 to adjust to winter hours. Effective October 1st through March 31st the Eastview Landfill will be open Monday to Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and closed on Sundays and Statutory Holidays. 
  • Brandon Municipal Cemetery is located on 18th Street South and is open to the public seven days a week from dawn to dusk. The Cemetery Office will be closed.

Regular hours of operation return on Monday, October 3rd, 2022.

All City of Brandon will fly at half-mast for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The flags will be lowered for four days and four nights.
