Brandon, MB – Following the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, two books of condolence have been placed in the City Hall Foyer. All members of the public are welcome to sign books of condolence for the duration of the period of mourning at Brandon City Hall during regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Black ribbon has been placed on the portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II, per established protocol. A black ribbon has also been placed on the flag of Canada, the flag of Manitoba, and the flag of the City of Brandon in the main foyer.
Lights outside of Brandon City Hall will be lit purple in recognition of the Queen’s colour designation for her Platinum Jubilee.
