Brandon, MB – Earlier today, the Lower Kootenay Band, a member band of the Ktunaxa Nation near Cranbrook, B.C. announced it located 182 unmarked graves on the grounds of the former St. Eugene’s Mission School. The school operated from 1912 to the 1970’s.
All City of Brandon flags will fly at half-mast for four days and four nights in recognition of the announcement by the Lower Kootenay Band. The flags were lowered Wednesday afternoon.
