Appointment to Brandon General Museum & Archives Inc. Board of Directors

Please take notice  that City Council will be considering 3 citizen appointments to the Brandon General Museum & Archives Inc. Board of Directors for two year terms to commence January 1, 2017 and expire December 31, 2018.

The Museum has been open since July 15, 2011 and is located at #19-9th Street in the former MTS Building.

The Museum's mission statement is to collect, preserve, and display materials that are part of Brandon and area's history.

The BGMA is a working Board and is looking for individuals who:

  • Have an interest in Brandon's history
  • Have a background in Museums and Archives, or who would be interested in learning more about this.
  • Are team oriented to help raise the Museum's profile in the community, help produce exhibits, and grow the Museum.

Should any person be interested in becoming involved on the Board, application forms are available at or can be picked up at and returned to the City Clerk's Office, Second Floor, City Hall, 410 - 9th Street, No later than November 15, 2016.

All nominations and/or applications shall be considered by City Council in its selection process, and such appointments shall be final.
