Access Transit
Brandon Access Transit service is for passengers with disabilities who cannot use regular Brandon Transit services.
Service provides:
- Door-to-door transportation within the City of Brandon
- To and from accessible building entrances
- Call back service for medical appointments only
- 24-hour message service for cancellations.
Who is Eligible?
Access Transit is available to passengers who:
- Require a mobility aid to perform daily tasks
- Have a visual impairment that prevents them from reading informational signage
- Are unable to safely step up or down a 40 cm (16-inch) step without assistance
- Are unable to walk 200 m (660 feet) between their home and destination without assistance.
All clients must submit a completed application form (there are two sections to this form). Forms must be signed by your Medical Doctor. Incomplete forms will be returned without processing.

Dispatch Office Hours
Trips with Access Transit must be scheduled during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fares
Access Transit fares are the same as our regular transit service.
Booking a Trip with Access Transit
- Call 204-729-2437 (Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Leave a message after 5:00 p.m. for next day call back.
- Give your name, destination and requested trip time to the dispatcher. Don’t forget to book a return trip at this time as well!
- Confirm and write down the times given by the dispatcher. Remember to please be ready at least 15 minutes prior to your requested pick-up time at the correct location.
Application Forms
Completed forms can be:
- Emailed to accesstransit@brandon.ca
- Dropped off at 723 Rosser Ave - Unit A or City Hall (needs to be addressed to Brandon Transit), or
- Mailed to City Hall at 410 9th Street, Brandon MB, R7A 6A2
Emailed applications are preferred. Both forms must be completed; Incomplete forms will be returned without processing.

Advisory Committee Information
Brandon Access Transit Advisory Committee members are responsible for discussing and resolving pertinent issues related to the provision of affordable, safe and accessible transportation. The committee works collaboratively with the City of Brandon to ensure Brandon continues to have an effective, cost-efficient and sustainable para-transit system.
