Secondary Suites

A secondary suite is a self-contained dwelling unit, subsidiary to, and located on the same site as a single-family dwelling that is owner-occupied. The three types of permissible secondary suites are:

• Attached suite
• Garage suite
• Detached suite

To apply for a secondary suite permit, you will need to submit the following information:

• Application (63 KB)
• Site Plan (29 KB)
• Property Owner Authorization (24 KB) *Note - This is only necessary if you are not the property owner.*
• Building Plans (28 KB)
