Councillor Tyson Tame

Tyson Tame was elected to serve as Ward 10 (previously Green Acres) Councillor during the 2022 General Municipal Election.

Tyson has lived in Brandon for most of his life. Although there have been a couple stints away from the Wheat City (Victoria ‘93-’97) and (Grande Prairie, AB ‘03-’11) Brandon has always drawn him back home.

As far as career goes, Tyson manages a real estate sales team; TEAM TAME/Royal LePage Martin-Liberty Realty. Before real estate, Tyson was the General Sales Manager of a large Honda dealership that sold Honda vehicles as well as boats, motorcycles, quads, power equipment etc. Territory Manager, Technical Sales Representative, and Sales & Leasing Consultant are other past roles that Tyson has enjoyed immensely.

Educationally, Tyson attended both Crocus Plains and Neelin high schools and graduated from a business college in Victoria, BC with a triple diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, and Micro Computer Business Applications in 1997.

Family is super important to Tyson. He has raised 3 children from a previous relationship through to adulthood. For the last few years, Tyson has been stepfather to Baylee who is the daughter of his soon to be (June 2023) wife, Monique Forest. This wedding was to take place in June of 2000 and was postponed multiple times due to the pandemic. “This is our year Moe!”

A true zest for life has Tyson interested in many things. He has entertained theatre goers in many musicals at the WMCA both singing and believe it or not, dancing. Tyson also participates in many film productions throughout Manitoba and is an avid pool player in the VNEA league here in Brandon. Art collecting, motorcycle building & restoration, poetry & writing, all these things are a part of Tyson, but there is one thing that defines him. Tyson has an unquenchable thirst to serve others, and therefore he wanted a seat at the council table.

To be accessible to constituents is among the top priorities for Tyson as he endeavors to connect and to serve. Timeliness is important to Tyson. Your time is valuable and Tyson plans to go out of his way for you to see that he respects that.

For communication purposes there is a dedicated Facebook page called Tyson Tame – Councillor/Ward 10. Tyson also welcomes you to use his supplied mobile number or email to reach out as well.

Thank-you Ward 10 residents for the opportunity and privilege you have provided to me to serve all of you as well as all Brandonites as your Ward 10 Councillor for the 2022-2026 term.
